Afrobeats innovator WurlD has released his new EP Metal Hearts in partnership with Benin City Ent., marking a bold new chapter in his sonic evolution. The project, distributed through Benin City Ent./WEAREGVDS, arrived on November 11, 2025, and runs eight tracks in total.
On Metal Hearts, WurlD dives deeper into electronic and dance-oriented soundscapes while staying rooted in the emotive Afro-fusion and Afrosoul textures that first defined his artistry. The EP blends throbbing synths, minimalist percussion, Afro-house, Afro-tech, and hints of amapiano with his signature restrained but expressive vocals, creating a moody, immersive listening experience built as much for reflection as for movement.
Benin City Ent.’s role in the release positions the EP as both a creative statement and a carefully engineered rollout, pairing WurlD’s boundary-pushing songwriting with a label infrastructure geared toward global reach and digital-first consumption. Through this collaboration, Metal Hearts is framed not just as another Afrobeats drop, but as a forward-looking body of work aimed at dance floors, festival stages, and headphone listeners around the world.
