Tay Iwar – Reflection Station

24 March 2025 – Renowned Nigerian artist Tay Iwar is set to release his brand-new EP, Reflection Station, on 2nd April 2025.

Reflection Station is a soulful, R&B-led EP executive produced by Tay Iwar, offering a deeply introspective journey through growth, resilience, and self-discovery. Blending rich Afro-fusion textures with samples from his native origins, Tay weaves a sound that is both intimate and expansive.

The title track, “Reflection Station,” sets the tone — a dub-influenced record that captures the essence of embracing life’s journey, navigating uncertainty, and moving toward purpose with clarity. “Bad Belle,” the previously released lead single, confronts envy and negativity with defiance and faith, sampling legendary Nigerian duo Zule Zoo. “Floating” explores emotional detachment and the clarity that comes with personal growth and success, gliding over smooth, minimalistic production. “Nonstop” is a dreamy meditation on desire and self-control, with Tay’s layered harmonies drifting between longing and restraint. The final track, “Survival,” closes the project with raw, powerful reflections on displacement and injustice, yet remains anchored by hope, resilience, and strength.

The moods across the project are reflective, nostalgic, romantic, somber yet hopeful — wrapped in mellow, soothing production and Tay’s signature warm, soulful vocals.

Tay Iwar continues to solidify his position as one of the most innovative voices in African music today. Released via Tay’s imprint CoolSweat in partnership with Benin City Ent, Reflection Station marks a new creative era for the artist.
